Llama trekking

We are ideally situated close to a major hiking path, the “GR 10” and the scenic walk round the Azun valley “Tour du Val d’Azun”, which means that there are numerous possibilities for trekking and exploring the Pyrenees National Park.

In order to relieve you of the burden of your rucksacks we hire out our packing llamas for half days or entire days.

PLEASE NOTE: you are not to mount the llamas!

It goes without saying that you are legally responsible for your own safety during the trek and you choose your own route.  However, either Christine or Eric will go with you and remain responsible for the safety of the animals.  This gives them the opportunity to talk to you about your “porters” and tell you all about the superb Estaing valley you are visiting.

If you wish to go on a longer trek, we can enlist the aid of a mountain guide who will look after your safety and enable you to discover the native fauna and flora of the Pyrenees.  It is also possible, after the outing, to join us for an evening meal at a mountain inn (at 1200 metres altitude), where you may enjoy authentic, traditional dishes.

All treks are by appointment only.

We also organize treks suitable for the disabled (including the physically disabled).
